Jaideep Ahlawat Says Alia Bhatt Threatened To Block His Number If … , ‘Working On Raazi Gave Me Nightmares!’

Jaideep Ahlawat opens up about his nightmares on working for the film Raazi, says Alia and Meghna threatened him to block his number!

Jaideep Ahlawat is one of the most versatile actors in the Hindi Film Industry. The ‘FTII’ alumnus actor gained recognition for the negative role he played in the Akshay Kumar starrer movie, ‘Khatta Meetha,’ directed by the legendary Priyadarshan. Ahlawat also had a brief role in SRK’s action-thriller film ‘Raees,’ which was a hit. Amazon Prime’s web series ‘Paatal Lok,’ in which Jaideep played the leading man, was a turning point in his career, garnering immense popularity and widespread appreciation for his acting skills.

‘Raazi’ is another master-class movie in which Ahlawat acted alongside the talented Alia Bhatt, making it a stellar hit. Despite his success, the actor reveals that he is unable to watch himself on screen as he often becomes disappointed with his own performances. However, he managed to watch his series ‘Paatal Lok’ and Meghna Gulzar’s directorial ‘Raazi.’

During an interview-conversation with his ‘Jaane Jaan’ co-star Saurabh Sachdeva, Jaideep talked about his work experience during ‘Raazi’ and revealed that for the first time in his life, he started having nightmares due to his intense involvement with the subject matter, reported by Indian Express He said, “It’s normal to be affected by work. I started having nightmares during ‘Raazi’ for the first time ever. I never used to have nightmares. But because I was so entrenched in the world of espionage at the time, because I had read up so much on the subject, I got scared. For the first time in my life, I would wake up with a start at night, seeing people running from guns and bombs.”

He added, “I watched ‘Raazi’ only after Meghna and Alia threatened to block my number. I went for the fourth screening.” Jaideep also informed that on the final day of the shoot, they were running short on time, and he was supposed to give a close-up shot. Director Meghna Gulzar couldn’t watch it on the monitor, and Ahlawat was told that they would shoot three different takes, confident that one of them would be his best shot. These scenarios sometimes put the actor under extreme pressure.

The actor was last seen in ‘Jaane Jaan’ alongside ace actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and the fine actor Vijay Verma. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the mystery thriller movie is available for streaming on Netflix.
