1. Sultan: Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sultan were one of the biggest blockbusters of the year 2016. Reports suggest that the movie first went to Deepika Padukone but she rejected it and then it went to Anushka Sharma.
2. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo: Again a Salman Khan starrer, before Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Deepika was considered to play the female lead in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. But due to her busy schedule, Deepika rejected the film.
3. Kick: This was the third Salman Khan starrer which Deepika rejected. Interestingly, Deepika was not offered the lead role in the film but was approached to do an item number. But as she was doing Happy New Year at the same time, she didn’t want to do another item number. Since then, Deepika has never starred opposite Salman Khan in any movie.
4. Dhoom 3: This multi-starrer with Aamir Khan and Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead role was passed by Dippy again due to her busy schedule. The movie benefitted Katrina Kaif in return as it was a hit at the box-office.
5. Jab Tak Hai Jaan: While Deepika made her debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan with Om Shanti Om, Yash Chopra’s initial choice for Jab Tak Hai Jaan was Deepika and not Katrina. But Dippy rejected the role for some reasons.
