Crew 2 On Cards? Rhea Kapoor Confirms!

Crew2: Fans of the heist comedy “Crew” might have something to celebrate, as co-producer Rhea Kapoor has suggested the chance of a sequel to the movie. Speaking with Variety, Kapoor confirmed that there’s a concept for a sequel and talks are ongoing to potentially develop the film into a franchise. “Crew,” helmed by director Rajesh A Krishnan, boasts an ensemble cast headlined by Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon.

Rhea Kapoor initially expressed reservations about sequels but was surprised by how quickly the film’s writers came up with sequel ideas. She said, “I really get scared of sequels, I’m so afraid of them, but this is the first film where I finished the film, and a week later, my writers messaged me and told me that they have an idea for the sequel. I was like, this is crazy. This is insane.”

Kapoor pointed out the excitement and happiness surrounding “Crew,” suggesting that the positive response has led to talks about a sequel. She also mentioned that the film’s ending leaves room for the story to continue.

Previously, Actress Kriti Sanon, who has a significant role in “Crew,” shared her excitement about the potential for a sequel and her eagerness to work again with co-stars Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. Speaking to PTI, she stated, “People have been loving it. We would genuinely love to be back and do something fun. Obviously, it puts a lot of pressure on the writers… It’s the audience that motivates the makers for a sequel. When they love something so much, you feel you can definitely do something next. So, hope so.”
