The Bollywood industry has come to a standstill because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Many filmmakers have halted their on-going shoot and have even postponed the release of their films to avoid large gatherings of people. The latest to join the clan is Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2.
Sadak 2’s two-day Ooty schedule was planned, but as a protective measure, it has now been called off. Pooja Bhatt confirmed the development when speaking to a leading daily. She said that the shoot consisted of a large unit and they (the producers) didn’t want to take any chances and make the situation vulnerable to everyone. The timetable has now been delayed with new dates yet to be determined.
Sadak 2, the sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s cult film Sadak, which is perhaps the most significant work in his filmography, will again put back the original pairing of Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in key roles. Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur will take on the lead roles as well. This also marks the first collaboration of Alia with her father.
The film was expected to release on July 10, 2020. Considering a change in their shooting schedule, though, with so many other films already changing their release dates, there are chances that the film will face a delay.
