Most Anticipated Biopic- ‘Sam Bahadur’s’ Day 1 Box Office Predictions Out !

The great war genre 'Sam Bahadur' is all set to clash with the gangster saga 'Animal' on 1st December, setting the Box Office on fire !

Meghna Gulzar’s dream directorial autobiography ‘Sam Bahadur’ based on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s life journey is all set to hit the silver screens this December. Backed by Ronnie Screwvala’s banner ‘RSVP Movies’ the film stars- URI boy ‘Vicky Kaushal’ in lead portraying the character of ‘Sir Sam Manekshaw’ in the war genre creation. Dangal-Duo ‘Fatima Sana Shaikh’ and ‘Sanya Malhotra’ also play pivotal roles in this upcoming venture. The biopic revolves around the period of 1971: Indo-Pak war which led to the independence of ‘East Pakistan’ and creation of a new nation-state ‘Bangladesh’ for which the ‘Indian Army’ took charge.

Made at decent budget of Rs. 75 crores, ‘Sam Bahadur’ is expected to mint around ‘Rs.15crores – Rs.18crores’ on the box office at its debut day 1. The numbers could have possibly exceeded the mentioned figures but the film faces a humongous clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s highly anticipated gangster-saga film ‘Animal’ in turn affecting the economics of both ventures. Both super cinematic pieces are slated to launch on the 1st of December, 2023 consequently giving a terrific fight to each other in race for emerging the highest opener. Additionally, two more magnum opus projects ‘Dunki’ and ‘Salaar’ starring ‘Shah Rukh Khan’ and ‘Prabhas’ respectively are facing off this ‘Christmas weekend’ in December- setting the movie markets on fire.

On the professional front Vicky Kaushal was last in ‘Yash Raj Films’ Comedy Drama ‘The Great Indian Family’ which was a ‘declared disaster’ of this year. While Sanya Malhotra currently enjoys all success for her ‘SRK’ co-starrer blockbuster ‘Jawan’ and her Dangal co-partner Fatima Sana Shaikh was highly appreciated for her performance in the latest release- adventure bike voyager ‘Dhak Dhak’.
