Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana is known for nailing an unconventional role with absolute perfection. He has charmed the audience right since his debut in Bollywood as Vicky Arora as a sperm donor in Vicky Donar. From his debut to his upcoming release Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan where he plays a gay protagonist, Aysuhamnn has left no stones unturned when it comes to touching the sensitive topics in society.

Recently in an interview, Ayushmann spilled the beans on why he chooses to do movies on taboo topics. He said, “I choose to do films on taboo subjects to bring a change in society.” He further added that the issues he deals with in his films affect families across the country in some form or way.

He expressed the benefits of films as such that can help eradicate certain taboos prevailing in society. The Bala actor said, “Cinema is a powerful tool that can influence people and affect positive social changes. I want my films to open the flood gates and let families start conversations on certain topics that impact not only them but also others regularly.”

Ayushmann went on to say that his core audience base is the family audience across the country and he wants to keep them entertained with his movies and at the same time do something thought-provoking.

“I want to silently keep bringing out these important social issues that we somehow, as a society, try to brush under the carpet. Through my films, I am trying to bring these conversations out of the closet and I hope, in the process of making all of us think about being vocal and sensitive”, he added.

On the work front, Ayushmann’s upcoming film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will release on 21st February 2020.
