Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the much-anticipated Bollywood political thriller film, “Article 370” was released in theatres on 23 February. Starring Yami Gautam in the lead role the film opened up to positive reviews from both the audience and the critics. Now that the film has finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

As per Sacnilk.com, Yami Gautam starrer Bollywood film, Article 370 earned approx. ₹ 5.75 Cr on its opening day (first day) at the box office. The film witnessed huge growth during the first weekend, ₹ 7.4 Cr on the first Saturday and ₹ 9.6 Cr on the first Sunday. However, the following weekdays didn’t prove to be fruitful for the film as the film witnessed a huge drop starting Monday.
Article 370 managed to earn approx. ₹ 35.6 Cr through its first week at the box office. As per the reports the film saw slight growth at the box office on Saturday earning approx. ₹ 4.93 Cr. As of now, Yami Gautam starrer Article 370 stands at a domestic box office total of approx. ₹ 43.53 Cr. The film can surpass the 50 cr mark by the end of the second week at the box office. Meanwhile, the film had already surpassed the 50cr mark globally.
Article 370 Hit Or Flop?
The movie had a solid start and performed impressively well over its opening weekend. Despite stagnant weekdays, anticipation for growth in the second week remains. As it approaches the 50 Cr milestone in two weeks, “Article 370” is poised as a moderate box office success.
