Anupam Kher is facing backlash for sharing a video on Twitter where he is seen cooking eggs. The actor filmed himself making eggs on a Sunday, but his actions have drawn criticism due to the month of Shravan when non-vegetarian food is traditionally avoided by many Hindus.
Kher captioned the video, “A recipe of #AndeKiBhurji by #ChefKher on a Sunday. Try it! It will make your day. Jai Ho! #ScrambledEggs #Fun.”
Soon after the video went viral, netizens slammed him for cooking eggs during Shravan despite being Hindu. One user commented, “Self-proclaimed staunch Kashmiri Pandit happily eating non-veg in Shravan,” while another wrote, “Shame on you, having non-veg during Saawan.”
Another user expressed, “Anda in the month of Sawan? What kind of Hindu are you? Hypocrite.”
Meanwhile, Anupam will be seen in Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film ‘Emergency,’ where he will portray the role of Jayaprakash Narayan. In the movie, Kangana will play the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, and it is set to release on December 24, 2023.
Additionally, the actor revealed that he will be portraying the legendary poet and Nobel Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore in his biopic.
