Telugu sensation Vijay Deverakonda is all geared up to make his Hindi film debut and actress Ananya Panday might be the female lead in the film. According to the sources, the film went on floors in January. The film will be a mixed martial art and heavy action film, and it will be directed by Puri Jaganadh.
The reports state that the maker of the film needed wanted a young face and Ananya has been chosen for the same. “Ananya is eager to work with Vijay and is expected to start shooting mid-march or in the first week of April”, stated the sources.
This film will mark Ananya’s third film with Karan Johar and Dharma Productions. Ananya’s film with Vijay will be a remake of Telugu film, Taxiwaala. Incidentally, the Telugu film also starred Vijay Deverakonda. The young actor hogged the limelight after starring in the controversial Arjun Reddy. The film’s remake, Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor also was thrashed in controversies.
Meanwhile, Vijay and Ananya’s film’s title remains under wraps and no further detail of the film are available.
On the work front, Ananya Panday was last seen in blockbuster film Pati Patni Aur Woh and in her upcoming Khaali Peeli she will be seen alongside Ishaan Khatter. The film helmed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Zee Studios is an action thriller film. The film will also feature Jaideep Ahlawat and Deshna Duggad playing some pivotal roles.
Khaali Peeli is all set to release on 12th June 2020.
