The Actor Shared An Interesting Anecdote From The Shooting Days

Bollywood actor Saahil Chadha, who worked in the movie ‘Baghban’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan, revealed that during the time of shooting, he asked Big B not to call him ‘putar’ as everybody calls him beta. Saahil played the role of one of Amitabh Bachchan’s sons in the movie, and during the first day of shooting, Amitabh Bachchan said he would call him ‘putar,’ but Saahil suddenly said, “No, call me beta.”

In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, he shared, “Hum shooting kar rahe the woh pehle din tha shooting ka. Woh ek dining table ka scene tha jahaan woh baghbaan ke bare mein zikr karte hain ki baghban kya hai. He asked, in fact, us, ‘What do you think, putar? Bolun tenu.’ Achanak mere mooh se nikal gaya, ‘Then to death,’ woh mere shakal dekhte hain kehte hai matlab. Maine kaha, ‘Sir, buniyad se dekhte aa rahe hain putar, putar.’ I am a Punjabi, and nobody calls me ‘putaar,’ beta, he bolte hain. Aap, beta, he bolo na sir, acha lagega hume, so he made it like that, that’s his humility, badhpan hai unka. Mera Koi suggestion nahi tha, it was just the discussion between the actors,” he concluded.
