Alia Bhatt is on a movie spree just like her husband Ranbir Kapoor. These days she is often creating headlines. Meanwhile, she is extremely excited about her upcoming Netflix film Darlings. The trailer of the much-awaited film was dropped on Youtube yesterday and received much love and appreciation. It marks the first film of Alia Bhatt as a producer under her own production house Eternal Sunshine Productions and it is also co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t co-produce a film but he made an exception for Darlings starring Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Vijay Varma. During the trailer launch, talking about various subjects surrounding the film and industry the Sadak 2 actress revealed why SRK agreed to co-produce the film.
Alia Bhatt said, “Shah Rukh called and said that I generally don’t co-produce films but I’ll do it with you as an exception. He said that we will have a lot of fun and enjoy shooting the film. The actress also shared Shah’s reaction after watching the film. “He recently saw the film and in typical Darlings style he messaged, ‘Thanks you Darlings for doing this films.'”
Darlings is a black comedy-drama film where the lead actor Badru (played by Alia) kidnaps her husband with help of her mother Shefali Shah. Jasmeen K. Reen has also written her debut directorial film which is co-produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions. It will release on Netflix on 5th August.
On the work front, Alia is gearing up for the highly anticipated fantasy film Brahmastra along with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. The soon mom-to-be has completed her Hollywood shoot Heart of Stone with Gal Gadot. Making her debut as a producer she is also debuting in Hollywood movies.
