Alia Bhatt On Working During Pregnancy Says ‘No Need To Take Rest’

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is currently gearing up for the release of her film Darlings, meanwhile, during the promotions, the actress opened up about working during her pregnancy and said, “If you’re feeling fit and healthy, there’s no need to take rest”.

On Tuesday, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt visited Delhi for the launch of the song La Iaaj from the film ‘Darlings’. During the event, the actress was spotted with the whole team and cast of the film. During the event, the actress was asked about how she managed her work commitments during pregnancy. To this Alia said, “If you are fit and healthy, there is no need to take rest. Working gives me peace, it’s my passion, and it keeps my heart, mind, and soul alive and charged. So I would want to work till I am a hundred years old.”

Meanwhile recently, in a recent interview with PTI, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt opened up about why people expect that her pregnancy should affect her professional career. Alia said, “Everything a woman does is put in headlines. Whether she has decided to become a mother, she is dating somebody new, she is going for a cricket match or on a holiday. For some reason, the eyeballs are always on women’s choices. What I consciously want to do is follow my heart and go with my instinct and gut. That’s exactly what I have done through my professional and personal life and things have worked out beautifully.”

The 29-year-old actress recently announced her pregnancy in June as she posted a picture of herself and her husband Ranbir Kapoor. The actress received wishes from across the industry however she also remained a target of many as people thought that the actress might give up on her career after pregnancy. The actress previously slammed reports which stated that she will postpone her projects due to pregnancy. She wrote, “Meanwhile we still live in some people’s heads. We still live in a patriarchal world. FYI, nothing has gotten delayed. No one needs to pick anyone up. I am a woman, not a parcel. I do not need to rest at all but good to know you’ll have a doctor’s certification as well. This is 2022. Can we please get out of this archaic way of thinking? Now if you would excuse me. My shot is ready.”

On the work front, Alia will soon be seen in her Hollywood debut film, ‘Heart Of Stone’, the actress is also awaiting the release of her films Darlings, and Brahmastra. She recently wrapped up the shoot of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Apart from this, she will also be seen in ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Katrina and Priyanka.
