Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Thank God first look poster was unveiled on September 8 followed by a trailer release on September 9. Thank God is expected to be a laugh riot set to have a grand Diwali release on October 25. The release of the family entertainer will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu which will also release a day before on 24th October.
Releasing on consecutive days both films will clash at the box office. Post the announcement of Thank God, Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu has been trending on Twitter. This Diwali, Bollywood will yet again see two big releases. Ram Setu is a long-delayed project receiving legal actions and other hurdles the film will finally see the light of the day. Now, Ajay Devgn’s film will also release at the same time.
Since the fans learnt the said two films are clashing they are now wondering which film will turn out to be great at the box office. For the unversed, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan were two big release lately. Both clashed at the box office release on the Raksha Bandhan festive on 11th August. Unfortunately. Both of the films didn’t perform well. It will be now interesting to know if Ram Setu will win the audience’s hearts or Thank God or if both will work great.
Thank God is a fun family entertainer which will see a face-off between Chitragupt and a common man. Ajay Devgn will play the modern avatar of Chitragupt, who is said to be a record keeper of human deeds in heaven as per Indian mythology. Helmed by veteran director Indra Kumar the family drama features, Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of TSeries and Maruti International. The film will open in cinemas on 25th October.
Ram Setu is an action-adventure film based on an archaeologist investigating whether Ram Setu is a myth or a reality. It is directed by Abhishek Sharma and co-produced by Cape of Good Films along with Amazon Prime Video, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions. Apart from Akshay Kumar Ram Setu also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Satya Dev in leading roles. The film is set to hit theaters on October 24, 2022.
