Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will soon be seen making his debut in Marathi films with Mahesh Manjrekar’s directorial Veer Daudale Saath. The actor will be seen essaying the role of “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” in the film. The actor has now started off the shoot of his film.
On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar took to his social media and shared an update about his film. Akshay wrote, “Today I am starting the shooting of the Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat‘ in which I am lucky to be able to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will do my best by taking inspiration from her life and the blessing of Mother Jijau! Keep your blessings on us.”
In yet another clip Akshay Kumar was seen all decked up as “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj”. In the shared video, the actor was seen walking toward the camera. Sharing the video Akshay captioned his post, ‘Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji’.
Talking about essaying the role of “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj”, Akshay said, “It is a huge deal for me to play the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. To play the role of such a legendary personality is a huge responsibility. I am so happy about this. It is dream come true kind of a role. It is a huge task and I would like to say I will give my best,”
All About Film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat
Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Vaseem Qureshi, the film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, is scheduled to release in theatres on Diwali 2023. It will release in four regional languages – Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film will mark the Marathi debut of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
