After ruling the Hindi industry Khiladi Kumar is now all set for his Marathi debut as well. The actor will now soon be seen in essaying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar’s directorial Veer Daudale Saath. Addressing the same the actor recently opened up about his role of “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” in the film, here’s what he said-
Akshay Kumar Opens Up On Playing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
The makers of the film Veer Daudale Saath recently unveiled actor Akshay Kumar’s look in their film at an event on Wednesday. The event was graced by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray, and Dabangg Khan, Salman Khan.
During the event Akshay Kumar was seen getting candid about playing Chhatrapati Shivaji in the film, the actor stated that he will do his best in his Marathi debut film, Akshay said, “It is a huge deal for me to play the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. To play the role of such a legendary personality is a huge responsibility. I am so happy about this. It is dream come true kind of a role. It is a huge task and I would like to say I will give my best,”
Director Mahesh Manjrekar revealed that it was his dream to work with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in one of his films he further stated that no other actor would’ve suited best for the role, he said, “It was my wish to work with Akshay. And for this role I couldn’t see any other actor but him. We wanted a certain personality and look and Akshay had the apt image to play a Hindu raja,”
All About Film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat
Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Vaseem Qureshi, the film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, is scheduled to release in theatres on Diwali 2023. It will release in four regional languages – Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film will mark the Marathi debut of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
