Vivek Agnihotri Takes An Indirect Dig At Brahmastra

Brahmastra’s box office collection has apparently been one of the much-discussed topics on the internet. Despite opening up to mixed reviews and the ongoing boycott trends, the film has managed to get a record-shattering collection at the box office. The film has now already entered the 100cr club while surpassing major blockbusters of the year like Kartik Aryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and many others.

However, a few Bollywood celebs like Kangana Ranaut among others were recently seen questioning the box office figures of the film. On Sunday, the actress took a dig at Karan Johar as she shared a long note on Instagram stories, that read, “I want to interview Karan Johar and understand why is he declaring gross collection of Brahmastra and not net collection? what is the desperation? Also after making 60cr (that’s the net collection they have declared, I don’t believe in this number but Net amount India is 60cr for two days according to them) even if we believe them how come 650cr film emerged a hit already…”

Meanwhile, after Kangana, the Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri was now also seen taking an indirect dig at Ayan Mukerji’s film. Taking to his Twitter handle Vivek wrote, “Humko Maloom hai Jannat ki hakikat lekin dil ke khush rakhne ko “ghalib” ye khayal accha hai. (We know the reality of paradise, but to keep the heart happy, the idea of ’Ghalib’ is good.)”

However, it seems that his tweet didn’t go down well with the netizens, as a segment of the netizens were seen slamming and roasting the filmmaker, a user wrote, “Frustrated Sore loser hona bhi kabhi kabhi acha hain Ghalib jo aap Ho rahe Ho !!! Milte hain end of weekend aur end of the week tab tak sulking chalu rakhiye”, another user slammed the filmmaker for criticising Bollywood industry, “Ghazab hai jis Bollywood ne tujhe vivek agnihotri banaya aaj uski ek hit film tujhe pach nahin rahi hai”. Take a look-

However, this is not the first time that the filmmaker has took a dig at Ayan Mukerji’s film. Earlier the filmmaker reshared a post that claimed about PVR and INOX have lost nearly Rs 800 crore due to ‘Brahmastra’. Resharing the tweet, Vivek wrote, “Problem is everything runs on fakeness in Bollywood. And nobody is answerable. No industry can survive which invests 0% in R&D and wastes 70-80% money on stars,”
