Hail Audience Power! Adipurush Crashes At Box Office On Day 4

Om Raut's Adipurush witnesses a major dip at the box office after getting negative reviews from the audience.

Adipurush Box Office Collection Day 4: The power of the audience has come into play as the much-talked-about film Adipurush has crashed at the box office. Adipurush was made with a budget of Rs 500 crore. It is touted to be one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema. Despite putting in so much money, the makers failed to make a decent film. It is considered so bad that people rejected it on the first day of its release. The film had a bumper opening on the first weekend, all thanks to the advance ticketing. However, as the reviews started coming in, people decided that would rather watch the Japanese animated film on Ramayan or the good old Ramanand Sagar’s creation.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account today and wrote, “The negative word of mouth has come into play. After a strong opening weekend, Adipurush collapses on Monday.”

Adipurush collected just Rs 20 crore on Monday in India. Globally, the film is reported to have earned Rs 35 crore. The numbers have fallen significantly.

Globally, the film raked Rs 340 crore. With the major dip in earnings on Monday, the film’s total global earnings stand at Rs 375 crore.

The makers were called out for ‘cheap’ dialogues in the film. After much backlash, they announced that the dialogues will be changed keeping in mind the audience’s demand and sentiments.
