After hooded goons targeted the students and professors, the whole world was split in their opinion about the current protests at JNU. And several Bollywood celebs have also expressed their views among all those who have taken to social media. If that isn’t enough, actors have supported by joining the protest to stand in solidarity with the students.
Since yesterday, Deepika Padukone mentioned about the active involvement of the youth in the demonstrations, and she also voiced her perspective on the same issue, saying how this is something that needs to be done and that she is proud of the youth for expressing their opinion, regardless of their own beliefs. And well, after yesterday’s comment, the actress has now set another precedent by entering the JNU student protesters and others as she is reportedly in the capital to promote her upcoming film Chhapaak.
Let’s not forget she is also the producer of the films .. stakes are even higher . Mad respect for @deepikapadukone https://t.co/y5CPzSEedU

As producer today @deepikapadukone would’ve been standing in the preview theatres in Mumbai waiting to hear praise being showered on her maiden production. She instead chose to stand in solidarity with #JNUstudents knowing fully well the ramifications of her actions. #RESPECT
