KoffeeWithKaran7: Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan recently appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan. Meanwhile, at the chat show, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan revealed that Kareena Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for the film. Aamir said, “Since the movie portrayed a span from 18 to 50 years, it was decided that the younger version of the female protagonist would befit younger female actors.”
Aamir Reveals Kareena Kapoor Wasn’t The First Choice For Laal Singh Chaddha
The Laal Singh Chaddha duo recently appeared at Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 7, during which actor Aamir Khan revealed that Kareena Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for Laal Singh Chaddha. It all started when filmmaker Karan Johar asked the Dangal actor about the rumors that Kareena Kapoor Khan wasn’t the first choice for Laal Singh Chaddha.
To this Aamir said, “No because we were actually thinking about the age gap. Both the characters have journey from 18 to 50 years of life. Initially, we thought the lesser the de-aging the better, so only I should de-age. We were looking at the age group of 25. So the actress could look younger and older. The casting director mentioned some new actress who was a newbie, he showed us her video.” He then tells Kareena that she was also in the advertisement.
He then further adds, “We were looking at the video for someone else. Advait and I were watching the video.” To this Karan asks Aamir about the actress to which Aamir says that it’s not important, later Karan adds and says,” I know who is this girl”. Aamir continues and says, “That girl was also very good no doubt about it. But when we saw Kareena in that(the ad) we got lost in Kareena. Both of us looked at each other and we said Kareena.” He further added, “No you see we didn’t think of you originally. Because we thought the age 25 we were stuck in that, which was a stupid thing. Because you too can get de-aging with me”. Aamir later says that he cannot have imagined anyone else other than Kareena for the role.
Meanwhile, now the netizens have doubted the ‘newbie’ to be none other than Manushi Chhillar herself who appeared in a 2018 commercial for Malabar Gold with actress Kareena Kapoor. Kareena Kapoor and Aamir Khan, who have previously worked together in the blockbuster film 3 Idiots are now gearing up for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha. It will hit the theatres on 11 August, clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan.
Meanwhile, the Koffee With Karan episode featuring them will premiere on Hostar on Thursday at 12 AM.
