No Surgery, Yet On Ventilator? Doctors Reveal Salim Khan’s Latest Health Update

Salim Khan is on ventilator after a minimal brain haemorrhage, doctors confirm. No surgery was required and he is stable under observation at Lilavati Hospital. Here’s what the medical team revealed.

It was an unexpected morning for the Khan family when news came in that veteran screenwriter Salim Khan’s health got deteriorated had been rushed to Lilavati Hospital. Very soon, reports of him being on ventilator support began circulating, leaving family in hurry to reach hospital.

What The Doctors Revealed About Salim Khan’s Health

Speaking to the media, Dr Jalil Parkar shared a clear update. He said, “There was minimal brain haemorrhage. A procedure called DSA was done today morning. No surgery was required. He is still on ventilator. By tomorrow hopefully, he will be off ventilator. Keeping in mind the age, the time of recovery is more.”

He further added, “He’s fine, he’s stable… All in all, he’s doing quite well.”

According to the doctor, his blood pressure was high at the time of admission and he experienced some “jerks.” He was given immediate medical care and moved to the ICU for close monitoring. Doctors further clarified that the ventilator was used as a safeguard during investigations so that his condition would not worsen.

Family Stands By Him

As soon as the news broke, Salman Khan cancelled his shoot schedules and rushed to the hospital. Other family members including Salma Khan, Helen, Arbaaz Khan, Alvira Khan and Arpita Khan, were also seen visiting. Close friend and longtime collaborator Javed Akhtar and actor Sanjay Dutt also stopped by.

Doctors confirmed that no surgery was required. A DSA procedure was performed which is not considered a surgical operation. A team of neurologists and cardiologists is monitoring him.

For now, the family and fans waits quietly, wishing him for a steady recovery.
