It was an anxious afternoon for the Khan family. Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra and reports suggest he is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
According to a PTI report, he is “Currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.” Sources close to the family shared that he had breathing problems before being rushed for medical care.
Salman Khan Rushes to Be By His Father Salim Khan ’s Side
As soon as Salman Khan heard about his father’s condition, he reportedly cancelled his shoot at Madh Island and headed straight to the hospital. Several family members including Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Aayush Sharma and Atul Agnihotri were also seen arriving to support him.
As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, a close friend told, “Salim saab’s condition is serious. We are all concerned and hoping he would get back home the soonest.”
Another source earlier mentioned, “Salim saab had breathing problems. Salman and the family immediately rushed him to the hospital. He is much better now.”
As of now, there has been no official statement from the family about the exact medical reason behind his hospitalisation.
At 90, Salim Khan remains one of the most respected names in Hindi cinema. As part of the iconic writing duo Salim–Javed with Javed Akhtar, he wrote classics like Sholay, Deewaar,Zanjeer and many more. Their work changed the way mainstream Bollywood films were written and presented.
Fans across social media are sending prayers and wishing him a speedy recovery. For now, everyone waits for a positive update.
