After months of speculation about her pregnancy, actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has officially confirmed it. She revealed the news by posting photos from a traditional ceremony, describing it as the most beautiful chapter of her life. On Thursday, the actress took to Instagram to announce the news. She posted pictures showcasing her baby bump alongside her husband, Shanawaz Shaikh.
Devoleena shared a series of photos from a traditional “panchamrit” ceremony. In one picture, Devoleena, dressed in a green saree and adorned with gold jewelry, sits on a couch holding a baby onesie that says, “You can stop asking now.” Her husband sits beside her with their pet dog on his lap. Additional photos include Devoleena with her family and close friends.
Sharing the pictures from the event, Devoleena wrote in the caption, “Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life.”

In June, Devoleena addressed the ongoing pregnancy rumors through Instagram Stories. Although she didn’t confirm or deny the speculation, she asked the public to respect her privacy and avoid prying into her personal life.
For the unversed, Devoleena married her partner, Shanawaz Shaikh, in a private court ceremony in Lonavala in December 2022, attended by just a few close friends. Following the wedding, she encountered significant criticism from trolls who questioned her choice of an inter-faith marriage.
