Dalljit Kaur has subtly criticized her ex-husband Shalin Bhanot amidst her separation from Nikhil Patel. When a social media user suggested she contact Shalin for support during this challenging period, Dalljiet responded, noting that he must be too busy himself.
Responding to the social media user Dalljiet wrote, “He has not reached messaged or reached out. I don’t think he is interested to know what must have happened with his son. He must be too busy,”
Dalljiet Kaur-Shalin Bhanot’s Marriage
For those who don’t know, Dalljiet Kaur was previously married to Shalin Bhanot. The couple first met on the set of the television show Kulvaddhu and developed a romantic relationship. They married in 2009, but their marriage ended in 2015 after Dalljiet accused Shalin of domestic violence. The couple has a son, Jaydon, who now resides with Dalljiet.

Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel married in March 2023 but separated just 10 months later. Nikhil revealed that Dalljiet’s decision to move back to India with her son Jaydon in January led to their split. He explained that their blended family struggled to adjust in Kenya and that their Mumbai wedding was culturally significant but not legally binding. Since their separation, both have made various accusations against each other.
Recently Dalljiet Kaur accused Nikhil Patel of infidelity on her Instagram account. She has also filed an FIR against him at Mumbai’s Agripada police station, citing sections 85 and 316 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. These sections pertain to allegations of cruelty and criminal breach of trust.
