The controversy involving Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana has now taken a legal turn. Big Boss 13 fame Asim Riaz has reportedly sent a legal notice to former Splitsvilla contestant and social media influencer Bhavya Singh over comments she made while discussing him and his equation with Himanshi.
The development comes after Bhavya made certain allegations and remarks about the former couple, which went viral on social media and became a talking point among their followers. Asim has now chosen to address the matter through legal channels rather than respond to the claims publicly.
The controversy began after influencer Bhavya Singh made comments during her appearance on the TellyChakkar Bakaiti Unlimited podcast. Singh alleged that Khurana has hotel CCTV footage that reportedly shows her former partner, Asim Riaz, shoving and physically assaulting her inside a lift. Although Khurana had earlier suggested online that she had recordings and CCTV evidence tied to their relationship from November 2023, she had not previously gone into detail about an elevator-related assault.
She said, “Mereko bohot time pehle ye baat sunne ko ayi thi, maine pucha tha kisi se ki Asim aur Himanshi ka breakup kyu hua toh kisi ne bola ki ‘bhai wo pagal aadmi hai, maarta peetta tha, bada hi bekar aadmi hai (I heard about this a long time ago. I had asked someone why Asim and Himanshi broke up, and someone said, Bro, he is a crazy guy, he used to hit her, he is a really bad person)” — that specific claim came from Singh.
Still, Himanshi hasn’t commented on this controversy, but Asim’s lawyer rejected the allegation, Advocate Suhail Sharif, partner at Falcon Legal, who is representing Asim Riaz, has strongly rejected the claims. Our client will not permit any defamatory or legally actionable statements against her.
Through the legal notice, Bhavya Singh has been asked to immediately stop making or repeating any allegedly defamatory statements against Asim Riaz. The notice also asks media platforms that have published or shared the podcast and related content to remove it within 72 hours.
With the notice now issued, the matter has moved beyond social media discourse. Asim has also reportedly retained the right to pursue any claims or remedies available to him under the law, leaving the possibility of further legal proceedings open if the matter is not resolved within the stipulated timeframe.
