In the ongoing legal drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the It Ends With Us actress Blake Lively’s scheduled deposition has been officially postponed. Which was originally set for July 17, it will now take place on July 31 as reported by TMZ. According to new court documents and sources close to the case said this change was a mutual decision between both legal teams.
The delay came shortly after the court dismissed Texas-based publicist Jed Wallace from the lawsuit due to jurisdictional issues. The court ruled the dismissal “without prejudice,” allowing Lively the option to refile the case if she chooses to.
Blake Lively had previously accused Wallace, through his firm Street Relations, Inc. of helping orchestrate a smear campaign allegedly directed by Justin Baldoni and his PR team. Her claims included allegations of digital manipulation and online narrative seeding. However, Judge Lewis J. Liman ruled that Wallace isn’t subject to New York jurisdiction.
A spokesperson for Lively clarified the situation, saying the dismissal “has nothing to do with the merits of her allegations about Mr. Wallace’s role in the smear campaign and relates solely to the procedural question of whether he is subject to jurisdiction in New York or elsewhere.” And they further added, “We currently are evaluating our numerous options for holding Mr. Wallace accountable.”
The lawsuit between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has become one of the most closely followed legal battles in Hollywood. While the actor-director Justin Baldoni denies all accusations, his counterclaims against the actress Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds were already dismissed in June 2025.
Both actors are expected to now testify when the trial begins in March 2026 in New York.
