In a conversation Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha Patel admitted her relationship with Bollywood filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, followed by London-based businessman Kanav Puri. She also revealed the drawbacks of having two relationships in her life. She talked about how the fact that her relationship with her partners was public hurt her acting career.
In the same conversation, she talked about how a single status girl is always more attractive for the people that you work around. “And they feel if you’re single or you’re dating someone in the industry or a superstar, that only benefits your career. Otherwise, they don’t accept it. A heroine dating a hero can still do films with the hero and continue getting work. For me, that was not the case. So, it does take a beating but you learn from it.”
For the unversed, Ameesha Patel and Vikram Bhatt dated for nearly 5 years before calling it quits just before the release of the director’s movie, 1920. After he split up with Sushmita Sen, their romance started, and his career suffered. Vikram, who was struggling to handle the stress, had even considered suicide.
