TV industry’s popular face Nia Sharma began her career with the daily soap ‘Ek Hazaaro Mei Meri Behna Hai’, and ever since the show ended, she has never looked back. The small screen actress consistenly received numerous shows and projects after she was seen in Star Plus’s show, ‘Ek Hazaaro Mein Meri Behna Hai’. While this show got Nia Sharmaa lot of fame, what went unseen by all was the personal struggles she faced during her early career days.

In a podcast with Bharti Singh, Nia Sharma opened up on her struggling career-days and how she came over everything to work on the sets of Star Plus TV series. Nia tells, when she was working for her first daily soap, ‘Kaali’ opposite Ashutosh Rana, she survived in a 1 room-kitchen apartment with her landlord. Her landlord used to bring multitude of guests at home while she slept on a small bed placed right at the entrance door. She used to cry over in the balcony as she was frustrated with the kind of lifestyle she has to go through and then left early at 8.30 am in the morning for her shoot.Later the house owner asked her to empty the flat without any notice leaving her helpless. Nia states, “Mujhe kaam bohot mila par mere paas ghar nahi tha”.
Further, Nia recalls how the fans and followers have called her out on her skin tone, fashion sense, and the lifestyle she had. But as she has come forth a long way doing all the popular shows , Nia says that she feels nothing of these comments anymore because she knows how hard has she worked on her life. The Naagin actress states, “I have given 14 years to look like this. I have starved for the entire day, for 10 days to look slimmer,I had the will power to do that” while she speaks of the confidence she has gained over the past few years.
Nia was recently seen in the highest-rated in TRP show – Laughter Chefs Entertainment at Colors TV. Recalling her days at the reality show, she shares how she was approached for the show. Nia Sharma also highlighted that she was extremely disappointed and angry at the same time to know that she has been paired with comedian Sudesh Lahiri in the show. However she was calmed and apologised to the makers for misbheaving, after she saw the first promo of Laughter Chefs and its flourishin TRP.
