Vedaa Box Office Collection Day 1: John Abraham’s Film Takes A ‘Decent’ Start

VedaaBoxOffice: Helmed by Nikkhil Advani, the much-awaited and highly anticipated Bollywood action thriller, “Vedaa” was released in the theatres on 15 August. Starring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh the film opened up to “mixed” reviews from the critics and the public, however despite the underwhelming reception the film has managed to take a decent start at the box office.

As per Sacnilk, John Abraham starrer action thriller film, “Vedaa” has grossed a total ₹ 6.52 Cr on its opening day (first day) at the box office. Despite the initial reviews and public response, the opening day collection is fairly good and decent. Unfortunately, the film has failed to surpass the actor’s last few films like, “Ek Villain Returns” and “Pathaan” among others.

However, the film is expected to see further growth during the upcoming weekend (Saturday-Sunday). If all goes well, Vedaa can cross the 10-15Cr mark by the end of the weekend. For those unaware, Vedaa also faced a direct box office clash with Bollywood films like “Stree 2” and “Khel Khel Mein”.

About Vedaa

Vedaa explores deep-rooted social hierarchy and caste discrimination in rural Barmer, Rajasthan. The plot centers on a powerful village head who enforces strict caste laws. When a lower-caste boy falls for an upper-caste girl, it ignites a deadly conflict. Sharvari, a lower-caste girl aspiring to be a boxer, gains the support of ex-army officer Abhimanyu (John Abraham). But when her brother’s forbidden love affair disrupts the family, it triggers a violent clash.

Helmed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa is a Hindi action thriller film starring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh in the lead role alongside Abhishek Banerjee, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
