In the interview with Lehren, Suniel Shetty spoke about the pride he feels seeing Rahul represent India. “Biggest high for me is Rahul representing the country itself,” he said. He further added, “If he’s captain, if he’s vice captain, if he’s leading from the front, he’s responsible for India’s victory. That’s a big high for us automatically.”

The actor explained that his decision to avoid watching live matches maybe comes from superstition and anxiety. “I don’t know – superstition, I get anxious, I think because of that so I stay away,” he shared.

Reveals Why He Avoided Watching His Son Ahan Shetty’s Film Too

Interestingly, not only with son-in-law but Suniel revealed he follows the same approach with his son Ahan Shetty too. Like, though he was present at Border 2 screening, he chose not to watch it inside the theatre but sit outside for the whole time. “Main 3 ghante bahar behta tha, socha kahi aur jaa kar chup-chaap dekh lunga,” he said.

He also mentioned that he rarely visits film sets, explaining that he prefers giving his children their own space. “Not interfere but I would want them to be in their zone and in their space,” he concluded, while he also briefly talked about his daughter Athiya Shetty’s career highs and lows too.
