Tom Holland Reveals ‘Spider-Man 4’ Title as ‘Brand New Day’ at CinemaCon

Tom Holland announced At CinemaCon 2025, that the upcoming fourth Spider-Man film will be titled "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," scheduled for release on July 31, 2026.

Tom Holland characterized the upcoming film as a “fresh start” for Peter Parker within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie will be helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton, recognized for his work on “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” Holland will return as Spider-Man, alongside Zendaya portraying MJ Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, and newcomer Sadie Sink in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

The title “Brand New Day” alludes to a 2008 storyline that follows a significant event in which everyone loses their memory of Spider-Man’s identity. This title is particularly appropriate, as “Spider-Man: No Way Home” concluded with the world forgetting both Spider-Man and Peter Parker.

“Brand New Day” is inspired by a comic arc from 2008, where Peter Parker’s secret identity is wiped from public memory, marking the beginning of a new phase in his life. Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, who previously collaborated on “No Way Home,” have written the script for this new Spider-Man instalment.

Disney’s Captain America: Brave New World premiered in theaters last month as the newest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2015, Sony, which holds the film rights to Spider-Man, established a collaboration with Disney to integrate the beloved character into the MCU.

Marvel enthusiasts can look forward to Thunderbolts, set to release in May, followed by The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which will debut in theaters on July 25, courtesy of Disney. Next year, fans can anticipate the release of Avengers: Doomsday, which has recently revealed an extensive cast list.

Late last year, The Hollywood Reporter indicated that Tom Holland is set to star alongside Austin Butler in the crime drama American Speed for Amazon MGM Studios. CinemaCon is the annual event for exhibitors and Hollywood studios that runs this year from March 31 to April 3.
