The once-unbreakable bond between the iconic producer-director brothers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, known for delivering some of Bollywood’s most memorable films under Vishesh Films had took an unexpected turn during the COVID era. The fallout between the two Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt not only shocked the industry but also gave rise to several speculations and public remarks from others close to them including filmmaker Vikram Bhatt.
Vikram had previously claimed that Mahesh Bhatt once called Mukesh Bhatt an “exploiter” who used him for creative gain and his statement had stirred a major controversy. Now, for the first time since the fallout, Mukesh has broken his silence in detail on the matter in an exclusive conversation with Lehren.
“Jo Bolna Hai, Bolo…” – Mukesh Bhatt ’s Strong Response To Vikram Bhatt
Addressing the long-standing issue, Mukesh remained calm yet firm. When asked about Vikram Bhatt’s claims, he said, “Jo bolna hai bolo, main kisika naam nahi lunga. Vikram Bhatt ko bolo ki apne andar jaakke dekh kuch hai apni aatma se, yeh chup chupke keh rahe ho bahar.. vo sahi hai ki galat hai, jawab usko mil jayega.”
Without naming anyone else, Mukesh shared how some people tried to influence his brother Mahesh which led to misunderstandings between them. However, he made it clear that no matter what happens, his love and respect for his elder brother will never fade. “Main iss ucche par nahi aaunga ki usne yeh kaha. Mere liye Mahesh Bhatt mera bhagwaan hai, mera bada bhai hai. Marte dam tak use bahut, bahut, bahut pyaar karta hu aur karta rahuga,” he expressed emotionally.
“Main Unme Se Nahi Hoon…” – A Dignified Stand
Continuing further, Mukesh refused to name those who may have caused the rift but by taking the name of Vikram Bhatt he said, “Unka naam leke main apna muhh kyu kava karu? Main unme se nahi hu Vikram Bhatt jaise chhichhore log ki gaali do, yeh bolo, loose talk… chhichhori baatein meri khoon mein nahi hai, main alag pedigree ka aadmi hu.”
The veteran producer emphasized that he’s speaking “dil se sach kaha” adding that his words come from honesty and not from any bitterness. He also expressed that he still prays for Mahesh’s well-being and believes their brotherly bond runs deeper than any public speculation.
Despite the noise around their strained relationship, Mukesh Bhatt’s words reflect immense maturity and unconditional affection for his elder brother. His dignified silence and respect even amidst controversy remind us that though the bonds are tested but the true bonds never truly break.
