Triptii Dimri recently delighted her fans with a nostalgic throwback from the film Bulbbul, commemorating its five-year anniversary. She posted several behind-the-scenes images, captioning them, “5 years of magic… mystery… and the girl who walked the red moonlit path.” This was a heartfelt tribute to her hauntingly elegant character, Bulbbul Chaudhary, a child bride who evolves into a formidable figure enveloped in enigma.
The film represented a significant milestone in Triptii’s career, earning her widespread acclaim for her performance. Bulbbul was both written and directed by Anvita Dutt, with Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma serving as producers under their Clean Slate Filmz banner. Set in 1880s Bengal, this period horror drama chronicles the journey of a young girl as she navigates a patriarchal society and ultimately forges her own path to justice. In addition to Triptii, the film boasted a talented ensemble cast that included Avinash Tiwary, Paoli Dam, Rahul Bose, and Parambrata Chattopadhyay.
The film was expertly crafted, supported by a proficient technical team. Amit Trivedi provided a hauntingly melodic soundtrack, while Siddharth Diwan produced stunning visuals as the cinematographer, and Rameshwar S Bhagat seamlessly integrated everything in the editing room. Bulbbul premiered on Netflix on June 24, 2020, and has gradually become one of those films that resonates with viewers long after its conclusion.
Triptii has an exciting array of projects on the horizon. She is set to appear in Dhadak 2 alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi, directed by Shazia Iqbal. Additionally, she will take on the lead role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit opposite Prabhas, stepping in for Deepika Padukone. Furthermore, she is collaborating with Shahid Kapoor for Arjun Ustara, with Madhuri Dixit for Ma Behan, and will reunite with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal Park.
