On August 15, three highly anticipated Tamil and Telugu films—Thangalaan, Double iSmart, and Mr. Bachchan—were released. Of the trio, only Thangalaan garnered exceptionally positive reviews from critics, while the other two films faced disappointing responses. Following its favorable reviews, Thangalaan is demonstrating strong growth and performance at the box office, whereas Double iSmart and Mr. Bachchan are struggling to gain traction. Thangalaan Box Office Collection Day 2
As per Sacnilk, Pa. Ranjith’s Tamil action adventure, “Thangalaan” registered a bumper box office opening worth a total, of ₹ 13.3 Cr. Unfortunately, the film saw a significant drop on its second day but still managed to secure decent numbers. Thangalaan earned ₹ 4.75 Cr on Friday and currently stands at a total of ₹ 18.05 Cr. The film will cross the 20cr mark by today’s end. If all goes well, the Tamil film can even cross the 25-30cr mark by the end of the weekend.

Double iSmart Box Office Collection Day 2
Starring Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt, the Telugu action film, “Double iSmart” registered a lackluster opening worth ₹ 7.35 Cr. Seeing a massive drop on Friday the film earned only ₹ 1.5 Cr and now stands at a domestic box office total of ₹ 8.85 Cr. If all goes well, the Telugu film can cross the 10-15Cr mark by the end of the weekend.

Mr. Bachchan Box Office Collection Day 2
Lastly, Ravi Teja’s Telugu film, “Mr. Bachchan” also witnessed a disappointing start at the box office. The film earned a mere ₹ 1.8 Cr on Wednesday, ₹ 3.45 Cr on Thursday, and ₹ 1.1 Cr on Friday. The Telugu film now stands at a domestic total of ₹ 6.35 Cr.
