Double iSmart Twitter Review: ‘Average’ Reactions For Sanjay Dutt-Ram Pothineni’s Film

DoubleiSmart: After a long wait, Puri Jagannadh’s much-awaited Telugu science fiction action film, “Double iSmart” was finally released in the theatres today, on 15 August. The film serves as the sequel to the 2019 film, “iSmart Shankar”. The sequel to iSmart Shankar picks up with Ram’s character still using a brain chip for memory transfers. In the sequel, Kavya Thapar plays the love interest of Shankar (Ram Pothineni), meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt who plays the role of Big Bull, along with Bani J, hunts Ram, believing the memory transfer is key to immortality. The film also delves deeper into Ram’s backstory. The film marks the Telugu debut of Sanjay Dutt.

Taking to X/Twitter many netizens shared their reviews and reactions to the film. While some praised the film, others claimed that the sequel was no different than the prequel. A user wrote, “Double headache. Same old puri direction, writing nothing is impressive part Cheap humour, dialogues, weak screenplay and Climax Few scenes okay&works”.
