PM Narendra Modi Congratulates ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ And ‘RRR’ For Winning Oscars

PM Narendra Modi congratulated music director M.M. Keeravani and lyricist Chandra Bose for winning the 'Best Song' award.

S S Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ and documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ created history at Oscars 2023. RRR became the first Indian film to win the academy award in the ‘Best Song’ category where as The Elephant Whisperers won Oscars For Best Documentary Short Film.

PM Narendra Modi congratulated music director M.M. Keeravani and lyricist Chandra Bose after their song “Naatu! Naatu!” from RRR bagged the ‘Best Song’ award.

“Exceptional! The popularity of ‘Naatu Naatu’ is global. It will be a song that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @boselyricist and the entire team for this prestigious honour,” Modi tweeted after “Naatu! Naatu!” won the award. He further added that the country is “elated and proud” of their achievement.

Composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose accepted the award on behalf of the team. Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava and composer along with director SS Rajamouli and lead actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan are all present at the big event.

The Prime Minister also wished producer Guneet Monga and her team for their documentary “The Elephant Whisperers” winning the Oscar award.
