Naagin 3 fame Pearl V Puri has been arrested by Mumbai Police last night. The actor was charged for raping a minor girl. Along with the actor, 5 other people has been booked in Vasai in connection with the case.
According to a news portal, “Pearl has been arrested yesterday (June 4) late-night after a girl and her family filed a rape and molestation case against him in Mumbai. He is now under police custody. We don’t know anything apart from this right now.”
Pearl is currently under the police custody by Vasai court.
Sanjay Patil, DCP Zone 2, Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar, said “The incident is old but the 17 year old minor victim complained to us along with her mother at the police station and we registered case under Section 376 (rape) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act, 2012.”
Pearl’s Naagin 3 co-star Anita Hassanandani stand in support of the actor, she took to her social media and wrote, “Woke up to some nonsensical news bout @pearlvpuri I know him! It is NOT true … canNOT be true…. all lies. I’m sure there is more to it. And the truth will be out soon. Love you @pearlvpuri #ISTANDWITHPEARL.”
