Amid the nationwide lockdown because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the entertainment industry had come to a screeching halt in March. Due to the lockdown guidelines, the shooting of various projects had to be postponed indefinitely until further notice. However, a lot of meetings and discussions, the Maharashtra Government has finally given a green signal to the filmmakers to resume the shooting.
However, the decision about when to resume the filming has been left on the producers. As said earlier, the work will only resume post every cast member, and the crew has passed the medical tests required. If any member on a set is found to be COVID-19 positive, the entire project will have to be stalled for 3 days, according to the new guidelines. Other highlighted points that everyone will have to follow all the processes of sanitation and disinfection.
Also, a few points made compulsory are keeping the windows and doors open for ventilation, crowd control, use of eco-friendly things, and the Aarogya Setu application. According to a report, the Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC) chairman JD Majethia has thanked CM Uddhav Thackeray. He also said that the fraternity will decide when to resume, depending on their capacity.

In the meantime, recently Akshay Kumar shoots for the first-ever project post the lockdown was imposed. It was a short film made to make people aware of the aftermath of the lockdown. The team, led by R. Balki, wrapped up the shoot in just 3 hours, following all the guidelines required.
Recently, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray had ruled out the possibility of cinema halls opening anytime soon and also asked them to opt for an action plan.
Prior to that FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit signed a letter requesting CM of Maharashtra to allow post-production work of films.
