Lizzo Clarifies Over “I Quit” Post But Again Faces Criticism

Lizzo said that she isn't quitting the music industry, but she has decided to stop giving attention to negative comments and criticism.

Singer and rapper Lizzo made a decision last week about quitting through her social media. She posted saying, “I Quit”. But this social media face revealed the meaning behind “I Quit” after creating confusion amongst netizens. And now it is clear that Lizzo isn’t quitting the music and entertainment industry.

She shared a reel through her social media handle and expressed herself in that video. Wearing a blue swimsuit, she said, “When I say I quit, I mean I quit giving any negative energy attention.” The Good as Hell singer was done with the negative comments, criticism and social media trolling and hence she made the decision to quit. She was the joke every single time about how she looks and many who don’t even know her judge her character.

Lizzo continued in the video, “What I am not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting the people. Because I know I am not alone. I am gonna keep moving forward and keep DM me.” Lastly, she asked all those who were watching her, “Am I the only person who is experiencing that negative voice that seems to be louder than a positive?”

Many were inspired by her words, while many criticized her. One wrote on Instagram, “I love u !!! U have helped me so much with ur music and just who u r !!! Thank u!! U realize what we all r going through…. I too with ur inspiration am giving up the negativity from others mostly in my job …. Just saying the words is freeing !! We got this keep being fabulous….. we all will always have ur back !!” On the other hand, another one trolled her again, for seeking attention, he wrote, “Just so you know … Lizzo isn’t really quitting. Her huge ego just needs some attention.” But she has decided not to give a damn to such trollers, she seems unbothered by it.
