Popular film director Priyadarshan has been admitted to Apollo hospital in Chennai. It is reported that he tested positive for Covid-19 and due to alarming symptoms, he was rushed to the hospital. However, much information on his health is not available at the moment. If the reports are to be believed, he is stable and is responding well to the treatment.
Priyadarshan is known for delivering some classic Bollywood films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hera Pheri, Hungama and Hulchul. In 2021, he made a comeback in the industry after eight years with Hungama 2. The ace director had taken a break after his action-drama film Rangrezz bombed at the box office.
Recently, many celebrities have tested positive for Covid-19. This includes Swara Bhaskar, Vishal Dadlani, Prem Chopra, Nora Fatehi, Rhea Kapoor and Kubbra Sait. The number of Covid cases is multiplying at an alarming rate. India saw a single-day rise of 1,41,986 new coronavirus cases, raising the tally to 3,53,68,372.
