StreeBoxOffice: Directed by Amar Kaushik, the much-awaited Bollywood horror comedy film, “Stree 2” was finally released in the theatres on 15 August. The highly anticipated sequel garnered extremely positive reviews from the public and critics upon its release. After the positive reception, Stree 2 has now made a “bumper” opening at the box office becoming the biggest opener of 2024 beating “Fighter” and “Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi)”. Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 1
As per Sacnilk, Shraddha Kapoor starrer “Stree 2” has earned ₹54.35 crore on its opening day. The film’s opening-day collection surpasses the 1st-day collections of Fighter (₹24.6 crore) and Kalki Hindi version (Rs 22.5 crore). With this, Stree 2 has become the biggest opener of 2024.
Stree 2 is expected to see further growth during the upcoming weekend (Saturday-Sunday), if all goes well there is a possibility that the film might cross the 90-100cr mark by the end of the weekend. Stree 2 has also been giving tough competition to Akshay Kumar’s “Khel Khel Mein” and John Abraham’s “Vedaa”.

About Stree 2
In Stree 2, a headless monster named Sarkate terrorizes Chanderi by abducting women. Vicky, Rudra, Jana, Bittu, and Shraddha’s characters team up to defeat him. The trailer reveals Sarkate’s role in creating the vengeful spirit, Stree, prompting Vicky to seek her help against the new threat.
Rajkummar Rao, returns as Vicky, with Shraddha reprising her mysterious nameless role. Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar also reprise their roles. New to the cast is Tamannaah Bhatia, who not only makes a special appearance as Shama in the song “Aaj Ki Raat,” but also plays a key role in the movie. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, and Varun Dhawan also have cameos in the film.
