In a distressing incident that shocked not only the common public but also left Bollywood industry devastated was actor Saif Ali Khan experiencing a life-threatening event when an intruder entered his home on January 16. This frightening attempt to rob the house left him with serious injuries, and multiple surgeries. The actor recently came forward talking about it, stating that he did everything that was possible to take hold of the robber, but this was one challening consequence of his life. While he has come forward for the first time, the actor opened up on how the family reacted to this severe injury, and got together after a long time, although it was a sensitive moment.

In a latest interaction with Times Of India, Saif revealed that his mother, the iconic Sharmila Tagore, immediately traveled from Delhi to Mumbai as soon as she learned what had happened with his son. Serving as a source of strength, she visited Saif every day while he was in the hospital. He recalled how his mother provided the comfort he needed, during this tough period by singing him lullabies, just as she had done in his childhood.
He described how Sharmila Tagore was completely soft towards him, but appeared strict to everyone else around the surgery area, inside the hospital. This was to ensure that no secondary infection emerges at that moment. He said, “The doctors were worried that there shouldn’t be any secondary infection. So she was making sure everyone wore a mask, including the doctors. So there was a bit of fear of the mother. But, she was also very nice. She held my hand and sang me a song, and it was very soothing.”

Also about the kids, while Taimur accomapnied him and the younger kid Jeh, was sent to Karisma’s house with Kareena Kapoor Khan- his other kids with Amrita, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim were very emotional. He said at that very moment, Ibrahim and Sara were very emotional, especially Ibrahim appeared very sentimental, more than how he normally actually is.
When the actor was attacked in an unexpected series of events, the entire family came to the hospital to ensure Saif’s well-being. He said it was a celebratory moment for him to see the entire family being around for the first time, after very long, but it was still a moment, he felt too happy about.
