One of the biggest female star of Telugu industry, Anushka Shetty is set to make her comeback after four years of hiatus with romantic comedy Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty.
The Bahubali actress will be seen sharing screen space Naveen Polishetty, and the makers have unveiled the first poster featuring Anushka and Naveen in refreshing avatars.
In the poster, Anushka can be seen holding a book that reads ‘Happy Single’ while ‘daydreamer’ Naveen can be seen sporting a ‘Ready to Mingle’ sweatshirt.
About Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty: Anushka plays a master chef, while Naveen appears as a stand-up comedian in this flick. The film is directed by Mahesh Babu P, who had earlier helmed Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra starrer Ra Ra Krishnayya. The shooting is finished, and post-production is now in full swing. The poster confirms that the movie will be released this summer.
Sharing the title announcement poster, Naveen tweeted, “Presenting the first look of our film #MissShettyMrPolishetty. It’s been a while since I have seen u guys, only because we were working to bring u the best possible entertainment in theatres. Looking forward to the madness again in theatres this Summer 2023. Love you guys.”
The shooting has been completed and the post-production is in full swing now. The poster confirms that the film is headed for release this summer. Miss Shetty Mr Polisetty will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
This is Anushka’s first release after Silence/Nishabdham, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2020 and ended up receiving negative reviews from fans. The cast included R Madhavan, Anjali and Subbaraju among others.
