Pushpa 2: The Rule Gets A New Release Date!

After postponing the release date from 15 August, the new release date of Allu Arjun starrer "Pushpa 2" is finally out.

Rumors had been circulating since last week about a potential delay for Sukumar’s highly anticipated action thriller, Pushpa: The Rule, which was originally slated for an August 15 release. Today, lead actor Allu Arjun has confirmed that the sequel has indeed been postponed, and a new release date has been set.

Pushpa 2 Release Date OUT!

On Monday evening, Allu Arjun shared a brand new poster of Pushpa 2: The Rule on his X handle. The image featured him as Pushpa Raj, donning a grey t-shirt layered with a brown shirt, complemented by a matching bandana. He held a sword menacingly on his shoulder, staring into the camera with a fierce expression. The caption read: “#Pushpa2TheRule in cinemas from December 6th, 2024.”

Fans have been curious about the status of Pushpa 2 since new films began staking claims on the August 15 release date. Initially, Pushpa 2 was set to compete with Rohit Shetty’s Bollywood cop drama Singham Again and Nikkhil Advani’s action thriller Vedaa.

However, last week, the lineup expanded to include Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Puri Jagannadh’s sci-fi action film Double iSmart. Subsequently, Jio Studios announced a change, moving Singham Again to a Diwali release and slotting its horror comedy Stree 2 for the August 15 date instead.

About Pushpa 2

Pushpa 2: The Rule is the direct follow-up to Sukumar’s 2021 Telugu hit, Pushpa: The Rise. The first film starred Allu Arjun as the anti-hero Pushpa Raj, with Rashmika Mandanna as his love interest, Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil made an appearance at the end, suggesting a larger role in the sequel. Samantha Ruth Prabhu also featured in the popular dance number “Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava.”
