SalaarVsDunki: Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire which was earlier expected to be released in the theatres in September is now all set to hit the theatres in December. Starring Baahubali actor Prabhas the film will now be releasing on 22nd December while having a direct clash with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, “Dunki“.

Prashanth Neel’s directorial, Salaar which was earlier set for a theatrical release on 29th September was postponed by the makers due to some unknown reasons. While as per the latest reports Prabhas and Shruti Haasan starrer “Salaar” will now be having adirect box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, Dunki. Reportedly both the films are set to release on 22 December right before Christmas this year.
Confirming the same, trade anlayst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote, “Yes. It’s true… SRK Vs Prabhas, Dunki Vs Salaar this Christmas… The exhibitors have received a mail stating that #Salaar will arrive THIS CHRISTMAS [on 22 Dec 2023]… An official announcement by the producers, #HombaleFilms, will be made on Friday [29 Sept 2023].”
He added, “This is the SECOND TIME #HombaleFilms is clashing with #SRK… In 2018 [#Christmas], it was #Zero vs #KGF [first part]. SRK had already blocked #Christmas [22 Dec 2023] for #Dunki… And now #Prabhas also stakes claim on 22 Dec 2023.”
However, the official confirmation about the film’s release date is still awaited.
About Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire
Directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Salaar Part 1 is an upcoming much-anticipated and highly awaited Telugu action-thriller film that will feature Baahubali actor Prabhas alongside Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles. The release date of the film is yet to be confirmed and announced.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki
Dunki will mark the first-ever collaboration of director Rajkumar Hirani with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The film will also star actress Taapsee Pannu in the lead role alongside Shah Rukh Khan. As per the reports, Vicky Kaushal and Dharmendra will also be seen in the film in significant roles.
