Musical composer and actor, Vijay Antony’s 16 years old daughter, Meera passed away on September 19 after committing suicide. Reportedly the actor and composer’s daughter was only 16 years old and was found hanging at their Chennai residence. Vijay Antony’s daughter was taken to the hospital where she was announced dead.
Vijay Antony’s Daughter Meera Dies By Suicide
Music composer, filmmaker, singer, and actor Vijay Antony’s 16-year-old daughter, Meera was found dead at their residency in Chennai. As per an India Today report, Meera was found hanging at 3 am at their residence in Alwarpet, Chennai, soon after which she was taken to the hospital but was announced dead on September 19. Further details are awaited.
Reports claimed that Meera was studying at a popular school in Chennai while it is rumored that she was also battling depression. Sharing the news film trade analyst, Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted, “BREAKING: Actor and music director Vijay Antony’s daughter Meera has committed suicide… at her home this morning. SHOCKING! RIP Meera.”
Earlier in March Meera’s mother, Fatima Vijay Antony took to social media and shared a picture of her daughter in school uniform and tweeted, “The Force behind my strength,the consolations to my tears,the reason for my stress(Naughtiness super loaded)my Thangakatti-chellakutty. Meera Vijay Antony ,Congrats Baby”.
Netizens also shared their reaction to the shocking news. Taking to Twitter a user tweeted, “He Lost his dad at 7 [commited suicide] Now Lost his daughter [Commited Suicide] Why is God so cruel to a kind-hearted person like #VijayAntony?”
Another user tweeted, “#VijayAntony Sir, known for his positive personality, often shared insights on life in his interviews. Sadly, his daughter’s suicide is a heartbreaking tragedy. We extend our heartfelt condolences to @vijayantony sir, his family, and hope they find strength during this incredibly difficult time”
