Mansoor Ali Khan Lashes Out By Madras High Court, Here Is Everything You Need To Know

Madras High Court slammed Mansoor for his defamation case and has given the date December 22 for the next hearing when Trisha, Khushbu and Chiranjeevi are expected to present their statement. 

Madras High Court passed its verdict in the most controversial case of recent times “Mansoor Ali Khan and Trisha Krishnan”. The court has given judgment against Mansoor Ali Khan in the defamation case filed by himself saying, Trisha Krishnan has to be the one to file a case against Mansoor Ali Khan for his offensive comment. Here is the exact timeline of the entire scenario. 

Who Is Mansoor Ali Khan?

Mansoor Ali Khan is an actor and producer in the Tamil film industry. Recently, we saw him in the movie “Leo” and he was also assistant director for this film. He is quite famous for his antagonist characters. “Captain Prabhakaran” and “Perarasu” are the two prominent films of Mansoor before Leo. 

What Mansoor Ali Khan Said?

Mansoor Ali Khan and Trisha Krishnan shared the screen in the blockbuster movie “Leo”.  On November 18, there was a press conference in regard to the success of the movie “Leo”. In that event, Mansoor Ali Khan a sexist comment on his co-actor Trisha Krishnan, saying, “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought that I could carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes in a number of movies, and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the Kashmir schedule.”

Trisha Krishnan’s Reaction To His Comment 

On the same day, December 18, Trisha Krishnan reacted to Mansooor Ali Khan’s comment on X. She wrote, “I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing, but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind.”

Legal Action By NCW

The National Commission for Women took this matter to the next stage by taking this issue to Tamil Nadu police on November 20. A complaint was registered against Mansoor Ali Khan under articles 354A and 509. Article 354 A deals with offenses related to sexual harassment and punishment, whereas Article 509 briefs about criminal acts that intend to insult woman’s modesty. On November 23, he appeared before police and gave a written explanation of the scene. 

Mansoor Ali Khan’s Apology 

On the following day, December 24, after legal action had been taken, Mansoor Ali Khan sought an apology to actress Trisha Krishnan. He said, “My co-actress Trisha, please forgive me, hope so almighty blesses me with the opportunity to wish you when you get married.” And Trisha Krishnan accepted his apology.

Mansoor Filed Defamation Case

But matter didn’t close here. After apology, this actor stressed his comment saying it was misinterpreted by others and then filed a defamation case against Trisha Krishnan, Khushbu Sundar and Chiranjeevi on November 28, asking for compensation of Rs.1 crore  because, according to him, all these actors tarnished his image and dignity. 

On December 11, Madras High Court slammed Mansoor for his defamation case and has given the date December 22 for the next hearing when Trisha, Khushbu and Chiranjeevi are expected to present their statement.
