Tamil superstar Dhanush has been hogging the headlines for his Hollywood debut alongside Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling in ‘The Gray Man’. Made with a production budget of $200 million, it is among the most expensive films made by Netflix. Directed by Russo Brothers, the film had a limited theatrical release in the USA on July 15th and will begin streaming on Netflix on July 22nd.
Fans are shocked to know Dhanush’s salary for ‘The Gray Man’
Dhanush’s fans are super excited to see him in the Hollywood action thriller film. However, fans seem to be shocked with the remuneration he has received for his role in the film.
Dhanush will be seen playing a small but significant role of Avik San in ‘The Gray Man’. According to some reports, Dhanush has allegedly been paid $5,00,000. It rounds off to about 4 crores in Indian rupees. While the report seems to be unverified, fans are shocked to know Dhanush’s salary for the Hollywood film. His fans are upset as the superstar allegedly takes home a salary of about Rs 15 crore for his Tamil films.
While fans seem to be super upset to know that Dhanush has only been paid Rs 4 crore, we can’t ignore the fact that Dhanush isn’t playing the lead role in ‘The Gray Man’, while he plays the lead actor in Tamil films where he charges about Rs 15 crores. The difference in screen time is also reflected in the paycheck.
Meanwhile, the film’s lead actor Chris Evans has reportedly charged $15 million and Ryan Gosling $ 10 million.
Dhanush was last seen in the Bollywood film ‘Atrangi Re’ alongside Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. The film had an OTT release in Dec 2021.
