Chiyaan Vikram Addresses Heart Attack Rumors
South superstar Chiyaan Vikram recently attended the audio launch of his film Cobra on July 11. During the audio launch of the event, the actor spoke about his health rumors. For the unversed, the actor was recently hospitalized just a few hours before the teaser release of his film Ponniyin Selvan, the actor complained of having discomfort due to a high fever. However many reports and rumors came out about the actor having suffered a heart attack.
Addressing the rumors during the music launch event Vikram said, “I saw, I saw all the reports. Many morphed my photo over a sick man’s body and kept it as thumbnails. They went creative and it was good. Thank you. I feel that I have experienced so much in life, so this isn’t a huge concern. My family, friends, and fans have been supportive. I don’t need anything else in life.”
Vikram’s son Dhruv also addressed the heart attack rumors recently on his Instagram account and wrote, “Dear fans and well-wishers, Appa had mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. He did not have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumours to this effect.” He further added, “That being said, we request you to give our family the privacy we need at this time. Our Chiyaan is fine now. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope this statement provides clarity and trust that the false rumours will be put to rest.”
Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Cobra is scheduled to release in theatres on August 11. The film features Chiyaan Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, and Irfan Pathan in lead roles. Miya George, Roshan Mathew, Padmapriya, Kaniha, KS Ravikumar, and Mirnalini Ravi will be seen in supporting roles. Composer AR Rahman scored the music for the film.
