Starring Mammootty, the Malayalam horror thriller film, Bramayugam earned ₹ 3.1 Cr on its opening day at the box office. The film slightly dropped on Friday and earned ₹ 2.45 Cr. As per Sacnilk.com, the film saw slight growth during the weekend (Saturday-Sunday). Keeping steady growth Bramayugam earned ₹ 3.35 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 3.90 Cr on Sunday. Bramayugam currently stands at a domestic total of approx. ₹ 12.80 Cr.
Talking about the film, the Malayalam horror thriller film, Bramayugam is said to draw inspiration from tales in ‘Aithihyamala’ and features a character named Kunchamon Potti. The film features the story of Thevan, a folk singer belonging to the Paanan caste, who experiences a significant encounter while fleeing slavery, setting him on a path to uncover an ancient tradition that changes his fate.
