Bimbisara hit theatres on August 5 and became instantly hit. However, after more than two months of its release, the Telugu language fantasy action film is all set for its OTT debut. The film was directed by debutant Mallidi Vasishta and produced by N. T. R. Arts. Bimbisara has been made with a budget of Rs 40 crore. However, despite Bimbisara has been leaked online for free download on the first day of its release, the film was a commercial success.
Bimbisara stars Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in the titular role with Samyuktha Menon, Prakash Raj and Catherine Tresa. Fans can stream Bimbisara on ZEE5 in different languages, including Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu. Bimbisara lead actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram took to his Twitter and provided the details for its OTT release, writing, “Get ready to go back into the period of #Bimbisara and his Trigartala, streaming from MIDNIGHT TODAY!”
The action flick follows Bimbisara, the monarch of the 5th-century Magadha empire, arrives in the current world through time travel and wants to conquer it. The monarch is a ruthless tyrant. The king has a twin brother Devadutta, whom he orders to be killed. However, when Bimbisara is confronted by Devadutta, the former gets teleported into today’s world through a magic mirror.
